In a surprising collaboration that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of forbidden practices and monstrous changes echo through the darkness." The storyline presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden cult.
The mission centers on "strange tests and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses
The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
